Job description

Independence, variety and working at various locations in (mainly) the Netherlands and Europe, that's what you want! Whether it concerns the maintenance of our packaging machines at a logistics center or solving a malfunction at a customer in the food industry: you can do it! You are an experienced Field Service Engineer, you have solid technical (controls) knowledge and you can handle dynamic planning well. Because we realize that free time is also important, you are at home (almost) every weekend.



Your challenge as a Field Service Engineer
We think it is important that you get to know our box and tray handling machines and stretch film wrappers well. That is why you first get started with maintaining our machines under the guidance of an experienced Field Service Engineer. You will get to know our machines and techniques step by step and you will develop broadly in the fields of: mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and control technology. Ultimately, your challenge lies in the commissioning, maintenance and service of all our machines and you go out independently from home. You work at various customer locations in the Netherlands and Europe, occasionally outside this area, but always in a safe country. On location you are our the first point of contact for Lantech.

Who are we?

We are Lantech; a healthy and growing international organization within mechanical engineering. We design, build and service packaging machines, transport modules and other additional systems. We have offices in the Netherlands, America, Australia and China. Our customers are diverse and located in different sectors. For example, we work for large multinationals within the food industry, but also for local entrepreneurs.


In Malden (the Netherlands) we develop and assemble box and tray handling machines. With 200 committed colleagues and a strong network of partners, we arrange sales and service within Europe from here.

Job requirements

Your background as a Field Service Engineer

  • A completed MBO education Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar;
  • Several years of work experience as a Field Service Engineer;
  • You have extensive knowledge of control technology, frequency converters, servo drives and / or pneumatics;
  • Good communicative skills;
  • A flexible and customer-oriented attitude;
  • The willingness to participate in consignment services in the long term (telephone accessibility 1x per approximately 8 weeks);
  • Good command of the English language. German is an advantage.
